Shipping Information:
We ship dahlia tubers within the United States exclusively, using USPS. Shipping and handling is a flat $17 per order. Washington state residents will be charged Washington sales tax, plus any applicable county sales tax based on your shipping address.
Shipping Timeline:
We typically begin shipping after the threat of frost has passed in Whatcom County. You will receive a notification when your order ships.
Order Modifications:
Due to our processing system, we are unable to modify orders once they have been placed. If you need to add items, please submit a separate order. We cannot combine shipping for separately placed orders.
Our Guarantee:
We grow all our dahlia tubers ourselves, right here in Whatcom County. We do not resell or import tubers from other growers, so you can be confident in the quality and origin of your purchase.
Local Pickup Option:
For our local customers, we offer convenient farm pickup. Simply select "Farm Pickup" at checkout. Your invoice will contain the scheduled pickup time and our farm address.

Our Commitment to Quality:
We're committed to providing you with healthy, true-to-variety dahlia tubers. We guarantee that each tuber shipped will have at least one viable eye.
If You Have a Concern:
We understand that sometimes issues can arise. If you receive a tuber that:
Does not have a viable eye
Is damaged or of poor quality
Is incorrectly labeled
Please contact us within 10 days of receiving your order. Photos or videos of the tuber in question will help us quickly resolve the issue. We'll be happy to offer a refund or replacement.
Varietal Issues:
While we take every precaution to ensure accuracy, if your dahlia blooms and you find it's the wrong variety, please contact us before September 1st of the growing season. We'll offer a refund or replacement for the following season.
What We Can't Cover:
We're not responsible for:
Packages lost or damaged by USPS. (You may wish to file a claim with USPS.)
Damage caused by factors outside our control, such as weather, pests, animals, or improper gardener practices.
Issues related to tuber storage, planting, or general plant performance. Dahlia tubers are perishable goods and require proper care.
Checking Your Order:
Please inspect your tubers as soon as they arrive to ensure your order is correct. Contacting us within 10 days of receipt with any concerns, along with photos, helps us provide the best possible support. After 10 days, we are unable to offer refunds or replacements.

A Note About Shopping: We know it can be a little frustrating that adding an item to your cart doesn't guarantee it's yours. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. As a small grower, we often have very limited quantities of certain varieties – sometimes less than a dozen! When our shop opens, we often see a surge of shoppers, making it difficult for everyone to get everything they want. To give yourself the best chance, we recommend checking out with your top choices as soon as possible. If we happen to run out of a variety you've ordered (due to unforeseen circumstances), we'll reach out to you personally to discuss a substitution or refund. We will never substitute without your express permission.
-
Ensuring Healthy Dahlias: We take the health of our dahlias seriously. Our farm is inspected by the WSDA (Washington State Department of Agriculture) for diseases and pests. In addition, we use Agdia test strips to regularly screen our dahlias for TSV and TSWV. We also maintain a rigorous culling process, removing any plants that show signs of disease or are questionable, both during the growing season and while tubers are in storage. Our priority is to provide you with healthy, vigorous tubers.

We appreciate your business! Because we're a small, one-person team, managing cancellations can be quite complex and time-consuming. Therefore, we're unable to cancel orders once they've been submitted. This policy also applies to adding or subtracting items. We hope you understand.

Creating truly exceptional dahlias is our focus. Our hybridizing program is a labor of love (along with raising teenagers and a puppy!), and we're committed to introducing varieties that meet the highest standards of form and beauty. We're pursuing ADS classification for our introductions and believe in transparency. We'll always disclose the grow-out period for each variety, giving you confidence in its performance and lineage. We're excited about the future of our dahlia breeding program and look forward to sharing our progress with you!
